Yes, it is finished. And may I say with some confidence that you will find it to be an uplifting, beautiful, fulfilling emotional journey. Love it, cherish it, smile and cry with it.
I sincerely hope you get as much love out of it as I've put into it.
I have a very long history with most of these songs, they've been constant friends. I hope they become yours.

Awesome track list, but that Linda Scott song drives me batty. I liked it the first few times I heard it, but Launch oldies radio plays it ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Maybe it'll sound better not coming from my computer speakers at work.
Im sure it will sound better this way, D...if for no other reason than all the songs fit together and comment on each other.
i had i only have eyes for you on my cd that i never finished. so i guess you beat me to it. dammit.
but im really excited to hear these.
and i'm not sure if this really happened but i might have text messaged liz in the middle of the night on saturday cuz i was incoherently drunk, so um if she got a message, i apologize. as usual, just ignore me.
wheres the purple mountain pics?
Currently sitting on a chair in our front room, in a completed state.
i'm bored. for another 45 minutes.
I;ve got boredom booked clear through to 5pm.
i'm always kind of bored. especially lately.
the only reason I ask is because liz said she was gonna post it. she should still if she wants to.
I agree, she should but I have been commandeering the computer the last several days. So its really my fault
SO--- theres going to be some minor structual changes to disc two. I was chatting with Curtis Mayfeild's son this morning and he suggested this one particular Etta James song. I know he's right. Also, Runarouns Sue is gone, cuz no matter how much I love it (AND I DO), it simply doesnt fit the vibe.
And Im not fucking around about Curtis' kid by the way.
Also, a woman who knew the Dells saw that I had one song of theirs on Disc One, and suggested a song for Disc Two. So I know shes right. Anyway, changes will be made, Liz & I will listen TONIGHT and hopefully itll be done!
And Liz (I think) will be scanning the Purple Mt. in at some point SOON. But the point is her work is Done. Thats d-u-n-n
indeed. I know its done; I wasnt really work-horsing or anything--just excited to see.
Oh, I know...Im excited we got something done. Its a little badge we can wear, especially since I have nothing but unfinished-dom hanging over me.
All day long I've been observing this one person I work with. They dont speak to me, I dont speak to them. She has nicknames for everyone, except me.
Anyway...I just work and observe. I overhear. She is 52. Obsessed in her misery. Calls her b/f and asks him why he's "ignorant" for her opener.
Attempts to scam free food all day, will not pay for lunch.
Reads Yahoo news all day saying "OH MY GOSH", expecting yuo to say "what is it?".
Is "angry" about Kevin Federline.
Her life is utter misery. She loves being upset, thrives off of it. Has to judge and belittle, has to insert herself into every situation. Makes herself ever awkward, then complains about said awkwardness.
For her, falling in love would require she slice herself, or take her life.
I sit here thinking how she let herself get into this state, then quickly remind myself she Wants this, Wants to be a bottom feeder.
Sad. Vaguely humorous.
Also, you know someone hates music when they are writing about music they like and refer to its "goodness"...as in "the production is so great you really get to enjoy the song's melodic goodness".
Oh, and in the time it took me to write this, person mentioned above has gotten angry about 2 more news stories. She's reading them verbatim (with analytical commentary ont he side).
i will try to put up the covers tomorrow when rich isn't here... as long as i get back from taking my grandpa to the doctor and seeing his lawyers before rich gets home.
