Don't expect me to start singing the praises of "Hungry Heart," mister. ;)

What else of his would you recommend?

ok timney... i checked the internet for apple orchards. how far do you want to drive? there's this one orchard in galesville that has PYO and looks pretty neat, but it's all the way in trempealeau county, which appears to be about 2 hours NW of madison. otherwise, there's the oakwood fruit farm in richland county, which appears to be maybe an hour NW of madison. then there's this norwegian "eplegaarden" in dane county (county that madison is in). there are a few orchards that don't say they have PYO but might be neat (in dane, rock, and columbia counties). i was pretty much only looking at orchards that had links to websites. but if you want you can see if you find anything really cool on your own and let me know. i really want a PYO orchard with a bakery, because i want some homemade caramel apples. and, i'm going to attempt to make an apple pie. god help me with that.

liz--my current feeling is you pick what looks good---Ive never been to one and I have no clue of what to expect. Onething I would like to go by though is: the closer, the better!

D--I dont think the river is very good either; its like two discs of boring.
But I would highly suggest 'Darkness at the edge of town'. Its the only other album of his that I think one could spend lots and lots and lots of time with. otherwise, on a moderate suggestion basis, I also enjoy 'Lucky Town' and 'The Ghost of Tom Joad' actually I havent made my mind up about Tom Joad yet but you should know its stripped down in the style of nebraska. and for songs sung in the shower, I suggest "Im on Fire" off of born in the usa!!!

ps on apple orchards: I know Im contradicting my previous view on trying to go as far north as possible but I can only explain that viewpoint as being momentarily hysterical for cheese curds. But now I feel cars fuckin suck and the less time in life I have to spend in one the better life will be.

pps these are just opinions and I dont want to make yr selecting process too painful so just pick us a winner, bobby!

alright! we can go to woodstock. there are lots of orcahrds there. we won't even have to cross the border! and since jackie won't come with :( we really don't need to go to wisconsin. class starts in about 2 minutes so i'll check illinois orchards tomorrow.

Remember that Slim Moon comment a couple of years ago about him running KRS for longer than Corin Tucker would be playing rock'n'roll?

Yeah, he was right...but only by like a month.

Yes indeed. As the great Bill Hicks said "Is life fuckin' weird or what?"

Oh, everybody, my CD burner is fucking up again (which caused the delay of Falling Deep 4)...so Im back to burning only one a day to insure no one gets a defective nasty digital brain popping skip experience. So...nothings been mailed, I handed off the final co-worker copy (usually I do my fellow employees first). You'll all be getting your mailed int he upcomign days though. And just to clarify, when I say fucking up, it wouldnt even accept the blank CD, so its not like Ive been on my arse.

Oh, this is important, nearly finished the section of the new work called Splish, Reconsidered last night. All I have to do now is lay it out ont the page. The little engine that could is chug chug chuggin toward you!

wait wait wait.... when are you guys going apple picking? you had mentioned this weekend, and i can't. but if you guys are willing to come to my county, i'd totally go! i may even be able to borrow one of my roomates cars so i don't have to make you guys come get me, etc. and that also means i could go a little farther south, so you don't have to come so far north. although the cheese curds are better as you go more north. so tell me when, and i'll try to figure out a plan for myself! ps - i'm back in madison, so that makes life easier. fuck minneapolis.

there are apple orchards in racine county or kenosha county, and that's certainly a lot closer to you guys.

Best news ever=I can still get reimbursed for those insane medical expenses from breaking my hand. Woo-HOO!

You guys are making me hungry again.
