I dont know where that application is but I do know that thurston is oneupping himself when it comes to that compilation that everyones got an opinion about. He's got a solo album also coming out---sometime in september---called Trees Outside the Academy---where he covers all of his, apparently, currently favorite bands. I heard it today! he does stuff by all the good pitchfork bands like Nico Case, Iron&Wine, TV on the Radio, Interpol, Wilco, The Unicorns, etc. I dont know which song is by which band but it sure is something to behold again and again and again.
By the way Tim, what are some of the opinions youve encountered? I've only encountered one--- the general "God how fucking stupid" or "fuck that" in various versions. People are actually saying something other than that? Amazing!
fuck the ages... it wont last a month after its released; when you ask thurston about that one album he released in september 07---he will honestly have no recollection of ever making/hearing/touring it; when you buy a copy it will disinegrate between yr fingers before you can get it to yr disc player..its that flimsy. shit man, eight year olds are gonna be talking about how shitty and childish it is. generations will be desperately deathly frightened of what lies outside of the academy.
well yr the only person i spoke to about the compilation and we both sure do have an opinion.
oh, regarding my opinion fr anyone reading this who may not know. I easily fall into the "god how fucking stupid" category, while tim can easily represent both that and the "fuck that" faction.

D, my boss (Eliza) is looking over yr app and resume, I might also show it to Jan Rizzo whos judgement I definately trust (these are 2 of the 3 people who decided to hire me in my current position). One thing---I need your signature on the app. So like, fake a stomach ache and get over here!
it was green bay financial systems. it's a collection agency. i'd be like the office betch doing data entry, etc. but i don't care because i need a fucking job.
D, Eliza said yr app was perfect, Jan made a bunch of changes, customizing it more to ELCA tastes. She'll be back on Monday to look over the changes one more time. We need yr signature, kiddo!
