Well, at least you didn't get the hackers who try to spam that Macy's gift card shit on people--you just had someone trying to post a comment with a picture of a woman undressing or something. So it was conceptually appropriate hacking, I guess.
Oh, and I don't know if anyone else here has any interest in Cronenberg, but Eastern Promises is really well done. I saw that the night after watching Videodrome. The guy sure has come a long way.

Right now Im building the list, every day it will grow and grow. When it is done growing it will be refined. I thought it might be interesting for anyone getting a copy to chart the process.
In regards to Videodrome, I think along with Wall Street, its the greatest reflection of its time, hich ina way makes it timeless. Videodrome is a stunning masterpiece Ive watched countless times over the past 11 years. One of those movies Im so into I dont even want to know about the rest of his stuff. But im slowly coming round.
do you think i can bring dvds on a plane without security being all weird about them? like, i don't want people to think i'm like smuggling dvds of golden girls into florida.
although it is very appropriate now that i think of it.
I will be there. I think I've budgeted well enough so you won't have to wait on your present, as long as someone has it in stock. But I ain't getting you the Mount Eerie book. I love you and all, but I do have to eat.
um well im gonna leave wisconsin around 11, get in chicago hopefully around 3 (maybe a little earlier depending on traffic), you are totally welcome to join me if you'd like! i would say i could pick you up, but yeah, i dont know how to get anywhere.
i actually thought of it this morning because i remember being in chicago once and they had a frida kahlo exhibit that i didnt get to go to and i've always meant to go there. im glad to hear it's awesome!
Well, if you're getting into town around 3, I don't think you're going to have time to go all the way to Pilsen and then get back up to Evanston by 5, even by car. If you want to go to that exhibit, you should probably get in around noon.

In terms of visual presentation and getting actors to seem more natural. Though I must say, Videodrome has some interesting special effects.

If I can take knitting needles on a plane, you should have no problem with DVDs.

You can also take scissors, as long as the blades are shorter than 4"...I think, it was like that the last time I checked.
and there was tht time I snuck a taser through. I'll tell ya, no one in Flowerfield fucked with me then!
You don't own a taser--if you did, you'd keep it on you at all times and brandish it on random people walking down the street.
I do so have a taser...I use the knife for brandishing
Dammit, I want some cupcakes now.
i want someone to clean my house
Will you buy me cupcakes if I clean your house? That might convince me.

Well, I ended up getting my own cupcakes. You snooze you lose.

rich, your birthday card is so badass!
i get so excited about making cards.
Oh yeah, I need to do that.
Also, did you know that "Hi" is the most successful pick up line? I'll have to try it sometime.
I begin all new communication, no matter what the circumstances or context with "Hi, my name is Rich". It never ever fails. I'm always amazed.
Now dont forget everyone---SATURDAY at 5 (FIVE). At Blind Faith in EVANSTON IL!
I will be there. I think I've budgeted well enough so you won't have to wait on your present, as long as someone has it in stock. But I ain't getting you the Mount Eerie book. I love you and all, but I do have to eat.
has anyone been to the nat'l museum of mexican art? it's on 19th street.
im gonna go before blind faith tommorow and was wondering if it was worth it? but either way, i'm sure i'll go.
yeah jackie, its awesome there! I assume yr going to see the day of the dead show which is even more worth it. I go every year.
Ooooh, I wanna go! It's a bit out of the way--what time were you planning on going?
Also, the MCA has free admission right now if that would entice you.
