Thank God

Headline on AOL News:

"Richard Roeper Taking His Thumb Elsewhere"

What, he's moving it from his ass to his mouth? Anyway, he's leaving the at themovies show. Goodbye, go away, die.

Also, Jesse Helms died a lil back...too bad it wasn't 20 years ago.

unfortunately, roeper is just gonna switch to a different channel and keep the whole format. and stupid ABC is gonna maintain "At The Movies" but turn it into a TMZ style show.

On Jesse Helms death: did you hear about the AIDS Bill and the congress woman who is trying to have it named after Helms? Either she is a very stupid congressperson or one who greatly fancies irony.

I can't comment on this, but Ian MacKaye and Amy Farina had a child back in May. How come I'm just now hearing about this? I feel like I should knit a hat for her or something.

Hey Tim, I hadnt heard about the Helms thing, I'll look it up.

and ummm as for Roeper---I just keep thinking the mroe TV he does the more he'll tank and vanish. Wishful thinking? whats wrong with that?

And wow, thank god Siskel and Ebert is FINALLY getting the makeover it needs. No more complete sentences about non Burger King Promo Tie In Movies. Hello Lyndsey Lohan Lesbo Shocker Rumors.

is it possible to turn comments into hyperlinks?

I think that is wishful thinking. Roeper's been on At The Movies since 2000. and now Mr. Zero Enthusiasm/Zero EXpectation is being offered new gigs cuz he can't get the cash he wants from 'at the movies'? richard roeper is moving into our hearts for good. him and his man chokers.

i uploaded the shots on the camcorder onto my computer but they do not play. there is something wrong with my quicktime or something. i cannot open it with final cut express, nor iDVD. i don't know what to do. or, it's because the software wasn't installed and i cannot get instructions on how to install it onto a mac. some screen is supposed to pop up when the cd-rom is put in but it doesn't appear. so, anyone, if you have any advice on what to do, please let me know. thanks.

heat a glass of water to 86 degrees.
drink one quarter of the glass.
pour the rest into a green glass.
snap yr left finger 17 times.
touch yr right big toe
with yr left hand pinky.
walk to a window facing south
and clap three times whilst yr mouth is open.
hop back to where the computer is on yr left foot.
then reboot and it should work fine.

Golden Girl Estelle Getty Dead at 84 EOL Staff
Tue Jul 22, 7:03 AM ET

Los Angeles (E! Online) - Television is mourning one of its Golden Girls.

Estelle Getty, the cantankerous octogenarian Sophia on the classic NBC sitcom, has died at the age of 84.

Getty, who suffered from dementia, passed away early this morning at her Los Angeles home surrounded by her family, acording to her son Carl Gettleman.

Donning a granny wig and oversize glasses to play a character 20 years older than herself, Getty won an Emmy and Golden Globe as the wisecracking oldest member of The Golden Girls, costarring with Bea Arthur, Betty White and Rue McClanahan.

The sitcom, which ran from 1985 to 1992, gave Getty her breakthrough role at age 61, after she struggled for years as a character actress.

Breaking news. More to come...
