Is this what you were talking about, Liz?

The Comment window cuts off most of the text.
Happy Birthday D! yr bday might be the last of summer weather for the year--I hope you got to enjoy it.
holy shit, i never thought I'd say this but I would love to have been in charlie gibson's brain today (during the sara(h) palin interview!!! Based on the "blizzard of words" (his quote-not mine) that were drizzling down her chin--I suspect 'Ol charlie is gonna become the top Obama booster of the media. If you wanna watch somebody being rightfully called out and squirming I highly suggest going to abcnews.com
yeah Im breakin all the rules---anyway, yes I 2nd Tim's comment- wow. She was...fucking Ross Perot like! Straight up used car saleswoman.
Thank you Tim! I'm even enjoying today's utterly craptastic weather, but that's because life is a beautiful place to be, or something!I missed Palin's interview. I'll have to hunt that down when I'm home, because I can't do video at work. What few quotes I've seen, though, are gems.
beautiful, indeed!the Palin interview will show in its entirety tonight at 9pm on 20/20.
The best was watching Fox News try to make look like she'd scored a "knockout"
or even any of ALL the networks making it look like she did anything other than gibber and squeal (no pig reference intended): making it look like she was actually taking a position on anything at all.If I were to be sympathetic at all I'd say she looked like "a woman in trouble"
I found a full transcript online. Oh man, just reading it made me squirm, and not in the fun way. I can just imagine what it was like to watch.I should get my roommate to Tivo it.
hi, i'm just seeing if the internet will work now.
and it does! finally!hon, get off the internet! don't give them any ammunition!
i overheard these two customers today at work talking about sarah palin and i tried to shut out their talking but i did hear, "john mccain is showing that he has real diversity in choosing her." and i had to bite my lip on that one!!! thanks for letting us know when its on, i'll be watching it tonite.
are people going to the mirah show?? i just want to know if it's worth coming down on a wednesday night to go.
i think d's going... i didn't know about it until last weekend and, well, i'll be at work. i wish i could go, but if i call in sick this week it's going to be on monday so i can get some projects done by the time they assigned for me. but check how many other people she's playing with... you don't want to end up with the easter show we saw one year that took about four hours until mirah finally got on the stage (but she was awesome! like always!).
I think there's only one band opening, but I haven't heard them yet.I do plan to go to that show. The venue is fairly close to work, so I might as well.
I just looked at the Apple Barn's schedule, and we'll be going during Apple Fest again! I don't know if anyone else knew that...you probably did. I love being the last to know! Also, I can't believe DFW hanged himself. How fucked.
another fucked up thing that happened: a frequent customer told my friend (and coworker) melissa that he was going to rip off her arms and shove them down her throat because she doesn't like john mccain, and that she's lucky he's (as in the customer) is not related to him (she thought his violent remarks might be because he was a relative). unfortunately she didn't get the manager because i've been looking FOR YEARS for a reason to ban him from the store and this probably would have done it.
DFW doesnt stand for john mccain in some weird way...does it?
ohh david foster wallace. thats kinda fucked up. The artist that i used to work with: john Rininger was a massive fan of that guys books especially that big fuckin infinite jest he had most of it memorized and he too killed himself
we should be so lucky!
dear lord... i'll stay away from that guy's books, then.
but maybe i shouldnt put possible unjust weight onto dfw because John was also someone who spent most of his adult life obsessing over Lou Reed's Berlin. he listened to it alll the fucking time along with the instrumental pieces from Ciccone Youth, so..
